Edit PDFs without installing anything
A PDF tends to act up exactly when you are in a hurry: the scan is upside down, the file is too large to email, or twenty separate pages need to become one document. None of that requires bought software.
The tools here run in the browser. Many of them process the file directly on your device, so it is never transferred at all. Where that is not possible, such as converting to Word, processing happens on a server in Germany and the file is deleted after an hour at the latest.

Are my files secure?
Absolutely! All uploads are transferred via SSL-encrypted connection so nobody can intercept your data. Your files are automatically and irrevocably deleted from our servers after a maximum of 1 hour. We have no access to your documents and never sell data to third parties.
Do I need to register?
No, you can use all tools instantly without signing up. We don't store personal data and don't use tracking cookies. Simply upload, edit and download, no account needed.

Which PDF formats are supported?
PDF Monster supports all common PDF versions (PDF 1.0 to 2.0) as well as PDF/A for long-term archiving. Additionally, you can convert files from Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), JPG, PNG and HTML to PDF, and vice versa.
Is there a maximum file size?
The maximum file size is 100 MB per file. For most use cases, this is more than sufficient. If you need to process larger files, you can reduce them first with our <a href="/en/compress">compression tool</a>.
